When used in partitions, this glass mineral wool insulation effectively aids plasterboard linings by absorbing airborne sound in the cavity and minimising reverberation. As a result, it effectively limits the hallow sound typical of partitions with unfilled cavities. This Knauf Acoustic Roll is suitable for use in internal floors, separating floors, internal walls, and plasterboard partitions.

This acoustic roll is suited to friction fitting between joists and studs spaced at 600mm centres, in order to enhance the sound insulation of: separating walls and floors; internal walls and floors; and timber and metal stud partitions. Additionally, it can be friction fitted between resilient timber battens and timber studs in robust detail separating floors and walls.
